CMB Radio Boot camp continues its tradition of being an amazing value for the price. It’s a GREAT way to bring additional staff members to GMA without breaking your budget! Here are just a few highlights of our sensational Saturday boot camp sessions this year.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR BOOTCAMP 2009

FEMALE UNIVERSITY:

Known as the BRAND CHAMPS, Bill & Fran Lytle will let you know how to connect with women, regardless of format in this interactive learning experience. Fran and Bill will share global truths about marketing to women and discuss specific strategies that can work for Christian music radio. Everyone who attends is invited to bring along examples for advice on how to possibly 'tweak' activities to better target women.

LEADERSHIP UNIVERSITY: Running With The Bulls Without Getting Trampled

85% of Americans feel unhappy and unfulfilled by their work. In this leadership bootcamp our speakers (Tim Irwin, Robertson McQuilkin, Al Andrews, and Jim Morgan) will examine the likely causes for this trend and will offer survival techniques in three areas: Thoughtful Commitment, Authentic Character, and Exceptional Competence.

Dr. Tim Irwin – He has consulted a number of America’s most well-known and respected companies. He’s a frequent speaker on leadership development and organizational effectiveness. His new book, Running With The Bulls Without Getting Trampled, distills the essence of what makes some succeed and other derail in the workplace. He’ll present some hard-hitting but entertaining truths about being wise at work.

FUNDRAISING UNIVERSITY: THE NEW REVENUE REALITY

Find out how to raise money in the new reality where sharathons are not enough and new review sources need to be found. Find out how to look at your sharathons differently and look at how your websites may offer keys to unlocking potential income for your station.

AIR TALENT UNIVERSITY:

These sessions (some combined with Programming) feature an in-depth look at your listeners and how to better communicate with them. Also new this year are: INTERVIEW U: The Art(ist) of the Interview and a session titled: Are You Coachable? These are two sessions that you can’t afford to miss if you are wanting to take your on-air craft to the next level!

PROGRAMMING UNIVERSITY:

These sessions (some combined with Air Talent) feature an in-depth look at your listeners and how to better communicate with them. Walt Sabo is the featured guest (see below) and he’ll give you the tools you need to know your audience better as well as keys to coaching your talent. You’ll also find tips how to respond to unknown change from veteran programmers Mike Novak and Bill Drake.

Walt Sabo – Sabo Media is sought by the top media companies in the world for its innovative content expertise. Their goal is to help you hit your goals by taking your programming and content far ahead of your competitors'. Walter Sabo is a leader in media programming, marketing and management. He has the distinction of being the youngest Vice President in the history of ABC and NBC Inc, having landed both posts before the age of 30. He is the only media executive to have been the chief of a station group and of a radio network.

Mark Ramsey – is the president of hear2.0, the audio and entertainment strategy company and Mercury Media Resarch, the brand-building research and strategy partner for radio and TV stations.

Don Hutson – Unleashing Your Inner Entrepreneur to Maximize Your Results is the theme Don Hutson will address during GMA 2009. For more than 30 years, Don has been in the business of making people believe they can do better and gives them the skills to do it. He energizes his audiences into action and is known for delivering real solutions for business professionals. He is the CEO of US Learning, a corporate training entity and the producer of US Learning Network Radio’s training and coaching programs.

Randy Lane – Randy Lane is recognized as one of radio’s most innovative programmers and talent specialists. He’s been at the forefront of developing the Hot AC and Modern AC formats. As a talent coach, Randy has directed top personalities including, Mancow, Leeza Gibbons, Kidd Kraddick, The Weather Channel and Ryan Seacrest, to name a few.

Sean Ross – Sean Ross is Edison Media’s Vice President of Music and Programming. A longtime industry observer, Ross works with Edison’s radio and music industry clients, offering analysis and music knowledge that goes beyond the numbers. Before joining Edison, Ross was the editor-in-chief of Billboard Magazine’s radio programming publication, Airplay Monitor.

Kurt Leander – Kurt Leander is the Assistant to the Chairman (Dr. James Dobson) in the Department of Public Affairs, he has 18 years of experience in fundraising and ministry representation to constituents nationwide. His role at Focus on the Family has put him in front of thousands of major girt constituents while maintaining a caseload of 300 of some of the ministry’s key supporters. Leander also serves as a member of the WAY-FM Board of Directors.

Each afternoon will feature a meet and greet with the speakers in the CMB Radio Networking Lounge so you can ask them your questions. Then stick around for our afternoon fun; featuring the return of "Name that Tune" and an all new "Singing Bee."

Sunday Morning Worship Service – Always a highlight of the week!

Radio Echo Awards Luncheon – Lunch and Award Show all wrapped into one! One of the highest rated events of GMA 2008. Join us as we honor our radio community for their work over the past year and enjoy performances by Dove Nominated artists! Definitely a highlight of the week for radio stations that you won’t want to miss.

Welcoming Reception - This exclusive event is your chance to meet your favorite artists! It’s your back-stage pass to the party where you get to hang out many of the top artists in our industry!
